Leslie A. Schous,
National President
Leslie comes from the farming community of Hodgeville, Saskatchewan. She
began her career with Canada Post, in 1971, was appointed to a Part-Time Assistant
position in 1972, and in February of 1977, she was appointed Postmaster of this Grade 4
Post Office.
She became active in CPAA in the early 1980's and was involved in
establishing the local CPAA zone where she served as President. She was elected to the
Saskatchewan Branch Board as a Director in 1987. For the next 8 years Leslie served, at
various times, as Director, Vice President and President of the Branch.
Leslie was elected as National Vice President at the Triennial
Convention in Saskatoon in 1995 and re-elected at the National Triennial Convention
in Victoria, B.C. in 1998. Leslie was responsible for the Training and
Education portfolio for 6 years and worked extensively to develop
the various training programs, including Just For You and Officers
Training, which the Association provides to its members.
At the National Triennial Convention held in Halifax, N.S. in 2001, Leslie
was elected as the National President. She was re-elected at the triennial in Niagara Falls, Ont. in 2004 and again
at the Triennial in Edmonton AB, in 2007. Leslie is
married to Bill, and they have two sons, Aron and Jarrod, who reside in Saskatchewan. Aron
resides in Swift Current, with his wife Robynn, and their children Matt, Ashton and Tucker. Jarrod
lives in Regina with his wife Terri and their sons Braydon and Ryan.

Pierre Charbonneau,
National Vice President
He was born in Montreal. He started his career with Canada Post in June 1979; he was then a clerk
in Montreal. Through a competition, he was appointed to the position of Postmaster in the city of
St-Paulin, in a class 4 post office, in October 1990. Then in September 1996, he accepted a
transfer in St-Jean-de-Matha.
He became director for the Quebec Branch in May 1995 and was re-elected in 1998, 2001, and 2004.
During these past nine years, he has been involved in various committees within the Branch, but
especially in representing members in cases involving occupational injuries and sickness.
His wife Johanne and himself have two daughters. Katrine, the oldest, lives with her boyfriend and their
young daughter, Arianne, in the neighbour village; while Julie lives in Joliette.

Shirley L. Dressler,
National Vice President
Shirley was elected by acclamation as National Vice President (English language) at the National Triennial Convention
held in October 2007 at Edmonton, Alberta. Prior to this, she held the position of National Secretary-Treasurer
since October 2004. Shirley has chaired various portfolios including Staffing, Political Action, Liaison Fund and
assisted with Job Evaluation, Health and Safety Committee, and various training programs over the past three years.
Shirley has been continuously employed by Canada Post since 1991 in various positions from Part-time Assistant to
Postmaster. In 1997, she was appointed as Postmaster of Outlook, Saskatchewan, a Level 6B position.
She has been an active participant of CPAA and held the position of Director for the Saskatchewan Branch of CPAA for six
years prior to arriving in Ottawa.
Shirley is a Registered Psychiatric nurse, and holds a certificate in Local Government Administration which included courses
in both Basic and Government Accounting, Business and Statute Law, and Administrative Practices. Additional university
courses include Psychiatry, Sociology, French and Administrative Principles.
She has three wonderful sons. Trevor and his wife, Carolyn, live in Edmonton, Alberta, with their children, Chelsea and
Damian. Eric and his wife, Amber, live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, with their children, Kyle and Sean. Her youngest son,
Ryan, also resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Daniel L. Maheux,
National Secretary-Treasurer
Daniel is native of the small village of Aston-Jonction, QC. He left the Media Communication Program at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) to pursue a career of helicopter pilot. After graduating in the summer of 1980, he arrived in Western Canada in time for the oil boom bust. In Calgary, Daniel embarked on a productive and varied 22 year long career in the commercial air transport industry, first with Canadian Airlines International and ultimately with Air Canada.
Daniel joined Canada Post in 2004, as Postmaster of the level 6A, Canmore Post Office. Early on, he opted to take an active role with the Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut Branch of CPAA. His enthusiasm, problem solving abilities, dedication to the rights of workers, strong ethics and prior work expertise earned him the respect of the members at large, fellow board members and where/when it counted, the Corporation representatives.
At the Branch level, Daniel either chaired, or was a member of the EAP Committee, the Finance Committee, the Political Action Committee and the Labour Relations Committee.
Having been elected for a second term as National Officer, in addition to the duties of Secretary Treasurer, Daniel serves on or chair the following committees; Negotiations, Health and Safety, Political Action, Liaison Fund, Communication and the Pension Advisory Council.
